About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Acute Care (Medical Surgical) Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty with 1 travel assignment License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: Strict 75-mile radius from address on driver's license to facility Description: This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty area. Candidates must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, and may be 1:6 for both day and night shifts. The facility utilizes Meditech for electronic medical records; experience is preferred but not required. Nurse aides will be present, with ratios of 1:8, and generally 1:10. There will be weekend requirements for every other weekend. Holidays will be required as needed. General orientation will last for 1 week, including EMR training. Floor-specific orientation will be 2 days long. Additional floating may be required to all acute care units. The facility population is approximately 80,000. Housing options have been visited and ensured to be safe, clean, and regularly available. Candidates should possess the required certifications of BLS and NIHSS.
