Design individualized treatment plans to cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that encompass communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing support. Partner with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers, to establish seamless care strategies. Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate continuing progress outside of therapy sessions. Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment, ensuring that care remains consistent throughout each patient's journey. Uphold detailed and timely documentation adhering to local, national, and organizational standards. Stay ahead of the curve by engaging in ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods applicable to a variety of age groups, with a robust understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
