Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across a spectrum of ages, utilizing established assessments and keen observational skills.
• Design individualized treatment plans to cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that encompass communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing support.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers, to establish seamless care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate continuing progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment, ensuring that care remains consistent throughout each patient's journey.
• Uphold detailed and timely documentation adhering to local, national, and organizational standards.
• Stay ahead of the curve by engaging in ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
