Mainframe Systems Administrator | Mainframe IMS Administrator

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Mainframe IMS Administrator with 7+ years of expertise in system monitoring, job scheduling, disaster recovery, and IPL support. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Omegamon , IWS Scheduling Tool , Jobtrac , and vendor coordination. Key Responsibilities Perform Mainframe System Monitoring & Health Checks . Utilize Omegamon for real-time system performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Conduct proactive system health checks and take preventive actions. Modify and manage job schedules using IWS Scheduling Tool and Jobtrac . Ensure efficient workload automation and job execution . Support Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution to ensure system resilience. Engage with hardware vendors for system maintenance and troubleshooting. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Mainframe Operations Best Practices . Ensure timely resolution of production issues and minimize downtime. Manage IPL (Initial Program Load) processes for IBM mainframe systems and provide necessary operational support. Work closely with cross-functional teams, offshore/onshore teams, and hardware vendors . Must‑Have Skills 7+ years of experience in Mainframe IMS Administration . Expertise in Omegamon for system performance monitoring and issue resolution. Proficiency in IWS Scheduling Tool for job modification and scheduling automation. Hands‑on experience with Jobtrac for job tracking and workflow management. Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery planning and execution . Deep understanding of IPL (Initial Program Load) procedures . Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills .
