Job Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough patient evaluations, incorporating physical assessments and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in diagnosing surgical issues through the accurate interpretation of imaging and lab results
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical plans for each patient
• Provide vital intraoperative assistance through preparing surgical rooms, properly positioning patients, and managing instruments during procedures
• Deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care, including administering medications, facilitating wound care, planning discharges, and educating patients

Education

• Master's degree from a COARC accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with a focus on surgery strongly preferred

Certifications

• Unrestricted PA-C certification required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications necessary
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant or eligibility
