Emergency Medical Technician - EMT

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Pay Rate: $21 – $23 per hour (Pilot Program: $26 per hour). Location: 16‑70 Weirfield St., Ridgewood NY, 11385. Employment Types: Full‑Time and Part‑Time available (Pilot Program: Full‑Time required). Schedule: 9–10 hour shifts. Full‑Time: 36–40 hours per week. Part‑Time: 20–24 hours per week. Pilot Program Requirement: Must be able to work available Pilot Program shifts. Benefits:

Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24‑hour clock; shift schedule may vary due to business nature. Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses, and all certifications, licenses, and registrations. Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co‑workers, supervisors, and the public. Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols. Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities, assuming responsibility for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures. Operate and drive the ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws, showing due regard for all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH). Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space. Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures. Prepare and submit a pre‑hospital patient care report. Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center. Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Valid NY State EMT certification. Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification with American Heart Association or equivalent. Excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more. Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test. Preferred Qualifications Valid Driver’s license (minimum 2 years) with an acceptable driving record. Pilot Program Details Full‑Time: $26 per hour. Must be able to work available Pilot Program shifts. Must have all required certifications.
