This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California. Spacecraft Technician - Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development, assembly and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Participates in the development of sub-system and system test methodology. Assists with setting up and tests complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications:Mechanical Technician 1 High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.Mechanical Technician 2 High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance SCI, TSWilling to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as requiredDemonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly, harnessing with a high attention to detailHands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipmentPreferred Qualifications:AA degree or other two-year technical degreeFamiliar with Northrop Grumman Corporation processesBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirementsComprehension with reading drawings, process specification, and work order instructionsExperience working in clean room environmentsProficient in use of precision measuring instrumentsCurrent SCI,TS ClearancePrimary Level Salary Range: $47,200.00 - $78,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
