Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound exams, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety, explaining procedures with empathy and clarity
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and medical practitioners to deliver high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly addressing any issues that arise
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records in the electronic medical system
• Remain updated on advancements in ultrasound techniques and contemporary best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed
