We pair operational expertise with technology, data, and AI to transform the customer experience — and to move vehicles across the country efficiently, reliably, and at the right cost.Position Summary: The Logistics Manager owns the planning and execution of Flexcar's cross-market and intra-market vehicle shipments. This person is accountable for getting every vehicle from origin to destination on time and on budget, and for building and managing the carrier network that makes it happen. You will select carriers, monitor shipments end to end, partner with market operations teams to resolve exceptions, safeguard invoicing accuracy, and hold carriers accountable to clear performance standards. Success in this role means reliable on-time pickups and deliveries and a lower transportation cost per move.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and schedule cross-market and intra-market vehicle shipments to meet inventory and delivery timelinesSelect the best carrier for each shipment by balancing price, on-time performance, and carrier availabilityMonitor active shipments end to end to ensure vehicles are picked up and delivered on scheduleProactively identify at-risk moves and intervene before they become delaysMaintain accurate, real-time shipment status and communicate updates to affected teamsPartner with market-level operations teams to triage and resolve shipment exceptions — delays, damage, missed pickups, and reschedulingDrive root-cause resolution and close the loop so issues don't recurServe as the escalation point between carriers and the fieldVerify that carrier invoices match agreed rates and completed moves before approvalReconcile billing discrepancies and prevent overcharges and duplicate chargesMaintain accurate shipment and cost records in company systemsOwn Flexcar's carrier relationships, from onboarding through ongoing managementDefine and track carrier performance against on-time, cost, damage, and availability metricsConduct regular business reviews, hold carriers accountable to standards, and expand or reduce the network based on performanceWhat We're Looking ForA hard worker who takes ownership and follows through, especially when a shipment is at riskStrong attention to detail — you catch the discrepancy in an invoice or a delivery window before it becomes a problemExcellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build trust with carriers and partner smoothly across market operations teamsAn analytical mindset and the willingness to build that muscle — comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and data to make and defend decisionsHighly organized, able to juggle many moving shipments at once without losing trackThrives in a fast-paced, multi-market environment and stays calm under pressureNice To HaveExperience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or vehicle/auto-transportExperience selecting, negotiating with, or managing third-party carriers or vendorsFamiliarity with transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, or shipment-tracking toolsBachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent hands-on experienceWhat Tops Off The TankFlexible PTO policy401(k) with company match from day oneMedical, dental, and vision coverage starting immediatelyEmployee discounts on Flexcar services with no annual membership feeWeekly payFlexcar is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
