Systems Engineer I

Design, implement, maintain, and support telecommunications infrastructure Install new hardware, systems, and software for network and system infrastructure Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices for core and/or customer solutions Troubleshoot network and system infrastructure and associated systems Document network problems and their resolutions Support administration of servers and server clusters Manage system backups and restoration protocols Plan and support network and computing infrastructure Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam Oversee software and network security Provide training on platforms, equipment, and related applications Maintain network and call routing translations in TDM switches such as DMS-100, DMS-10, Redcom, and Mitel Maintain and support MetaSwitch VoIP platforms Manage SS7 signaling systems for call routing, number portability, and CLASS feature delivery Implement and maintain E911 systems in compliance with public safety regulations Provide 24 x 7 x 365 operational infrastructure support Perform other duties as assigned Requirements College diploma in the field of computer science, computer information systems, or computer engineering Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis Up to 3 years of experience leading to the ability to work independently in the role Willingness and capability to perform complex hands-on network provisioning and management activities Ability to participate in 24 x 7 x 365 operational infrastructure support Technical knowledge of TDM switches, including DMS-100, DMS-10, Redcom, and Mitel Experience with VoIP platforms, primarily MetaSwitch Knowledge of SS7 signaling systems for call routing, number portability, and CLASS feature delivery Knowledge of implementing and maintaining E911 systems Ability to work with network and system infrastructure, servers, server clusters, backups, security, and user accounts We are unable to support remote international applicants or routinely sponsor work visas Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing telecommunications infrastructure, including TDM switches and VoIP platforms, while ensuring compliance with public safety regulations.
