Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that address both immediate goals and long-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Implement focused speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, and swallowing in a one-on-one format.
• Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families, enhancing support during their therapeutic journey.
• Participate in periodic inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity of care.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with peers to stay informed about advances in the field.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
