Job Description

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with neuro experience to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves working in a 24-bed ICU, caring for adult and geriatric patients with critical conditions.

Qualifications

• Active California RN License and certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Neuro ICU experience and Epic charting experience are required.
• Charge experience is preferred.

Patient Care Details

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Daily Census: 18 to 22 patients

Number of Beds: 24

Patient Diagnoses

Primary service lines include:

• Level II Trauma ICU
• Neuro/Stroke ICU
• Post-thrombectomy and TNK patients
• Post-procedural and surgical trauma patients
• Medical-surgical level of care for organ procurement preparation

Skills Required

• Managing and accessing ports
• Arterial line management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• CVA and acute stroke management
• Experience with infection prevention
• Managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure
• ICP monitoring
• Ventilator management

Unit Details

• May float to ED, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department.
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services and more.

Compliance Requirements

• Must complete necessary onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing.
• 7-year work history verification is required.
• All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date.

Pre-Approved Time Off

Maximum RTO: 7 days per contract. Only one holiday per contract can be requested.
