Business Development Manager

X4 Engineering are working with a global laboratory services firm to headhunt a Business Development Manager to serve the pharmaceutical industry in North Carolina. This is a remote position with 50-60% travel to client sites, trade shows, and conferences. The ideal candidate will need to be based in North Carolina in order to best serve the RTP area. Key responsibilities: Drive the full sales development cycle: prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing complex sales cycles through to project implementation Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with prospects and clients, engaging up to C-Suite level Monitor competitor activity and market trends, and develop action plans to hit KPIs and sales goals Lead contract development and negotiation Education & Skills Required: Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business-related discipline 3-5 years' consultative sales experience selling professional services, preferably to or within the life sciences industry Experience selling in staffing, recruiting, insourcing, and/or laboratory services preferred; a book of business within biopharma is a plus Willingness to travel 50-60% locally within the region Commission: $60,000-$120,000, based on incentives/targets Choice of medical plans, plus dental and vision coverage Company-paid basic life, AD&D, and short- and long-term disability insurance 401(k) with employer matching 50% of the first 6% of contributions Candidates will need full rights to work in the US (i.e. US citizenship or Green Card) to be considered for this opportunity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
