This role will coordinate projects internally with multiple cross-functional partners, and, critically, with external contract manufacturers within the company portfolio. Analyst level supports product development, cost analysis, speed and cost savings initiatives.Responsibilities:Category/Commodity Management:Document and communicate category strategies to cross-functional business partnersConduct sourcing events that increase category competition delivering cost optimization, quality and supply assuranceAnalyze & negotiate vendor quotes for new business and communicate award decisionAnalyzing and minimizing cost increase requests and communicate business impactConduct comprehensive analysis on opportunities to drive cost or operational efficienciesLead tooling expenses from external vendorsAnalyze and maintain standard costs with internal partnersMaintain, extract, and analyze data in business IT systemsMay train and delegate tasks to temps or other associates as neededSourcing Execution & Vendor Engagement:Support development, implementation, and execution of Bath & Body Works Sourcing StrategiesSupport vendor set up & maintenance processesAssist in vendor performance improvementMaintain vendor profiles & capabilitiesCollect and follow up on information related to RFQ process with vendorDevelop an understanding of BBW vendor base and capabilitiesKey ProjectsDevelop and maintain an effective sourcing strategy for defined contract manufacturing categoriesSupport Value Engineering (VE) project execution & other department & central initiativesSupporting Sourcing excellence initiatives through standard methodology & process committeesLead category strategy analytical workTalent Management & DevelopmentCreation and execution of Individual Development Plan (IDP) / Personal Performance Objectives (PPO’s) / Quarterly Connects / Performance Review in accordance with the performance management life cycle processIdentify continuous learning opportunities for own development (ie. Learning Manager, attend other meetings to gain insights, job shadowing, vendor visits, commodity schools)Participate in regular development meetings with peers and managersParticipate and support team engagement initiatives as identified through the Associate Opinion SurveyTrain cross functional partners and participate in onboarding initiatives when appropriate3-5 years’ work experience in Purchasing, Operations Planning, Package/Supply Chain Engineering, and/or Strategic Sourcing positionsHigh attention to detail coupled with analytical skillsStrong financial acumen with ability to analyze situations through appropriate financial criteriaProficiency in completing tasks thoroughly, calmly, accurately, and promptly while handling multiple, conflicting priorities in a fast-moving atmosphereProven track record of conducting negotiations to completion with positive business impactAbility to make decisions and explain analytical process behind the decisionValuable collaborator across teamsSelf-motivated, self-starting and a creative problem solverConducts all work in an ethical, honest, professional and confidential mannerAbility to travel domestically and internationallyEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferredRelevant internship and/or school leadership experience a plusExperience in manufacturing and/or consumer goods/retail preferredIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft SuiteCore CompetenciesDrives ResultsAction OrientedCollaboratesDecision MakingNimble LearningBenefitsFeeling good starts with you.
