Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Shift - 11, 12, 2, or 4 pm start times Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with the team of patients, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
