Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $90,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions in Property tax revenue and expense.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Monitor budget variances and provide analysis and recommendations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications/Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Proven experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
