Mechanical Engineer 3 Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, United States Job Tags: Hardware Develop next-generation systems for nuclear explosion monitoring networks. Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. (TBE) in Knoxville, TN is seeking a mid‑senior mechanical engineer experienced in developing mechanical and controls systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Creating fabrication and assembly drawings IAW ASME Y14 standards Tolerancing and design for manufacturability Interpreting electrical schematics for troubleshooting and design purposes Developing proposals, test reports, customer presentations, design specifications, etc. Interface with technicians to ensure specifications are attainable and verify compliance Interface with customers in technical working groups Estimate labor hours, track actuals, and coordinate scheduling with other project managers Troubleshooting complex systems from sensor data and log files Creating bills of materials for new designs and tracking materials during fabrication Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may include providing technical leadership to lower‑level engineers.
