About the Role
The Company is seeking a Data Protection Managing Director to lead the definition, governance, and scaling of its enterprise-wide data protection strategy. This senior leadership role is pivotal in establishing a modern, risk-based data security program that aligns with the organization's digital, cloud, AI, and data transformation objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the evolution towards an intelligence-driven program, focusing on data discovery, classification, retention, access governance, AI security, and automated protection controls. They will also serve as the foremost authority on data security and protection, ensuring that security is embedded across various teams and processes. Candidates for the Data Protection Managing Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and hold certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CDPSE, or cloud security certifications. A minimum of 15 years' leadership experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or related disciplines is required, with a proven track record in leading enterprise-scale data protection programs. The role demands a visionary security leader with deep expertise in data security and protection, including modern cloud, AI, and data architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AI security risks, experience in large-scale transformation initiatives, and the ability to influence organizational change. Executive leadership, strategic thinking, and a customer-first mindset are essential, as is the ability to partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of the data ecosystem.
