Job Opportunity at Michelman Steel

Michelman Steel provides structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication services in the Bethlehem area, specializing in creating components for major construction projects like bridges and buildings. Their work involves fabricating custom structural steel beams, plates, stairs, and other metal components for various clients in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic region.

1st shift - 6:00am-2:30pm with OT Monday-Friday

Pay rate- $21hr- $23hr max

Key responsibilities would likely involve:

• Using a CNC torch to cut and fabricate metal parts based on engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Performing basic maintenance and quality checks on the equipment and finished products.
• Working in a shop environment and potentially assisting with other fabrication tasks.
• Adhering to safety protocols and potentially operating heavy equipment like overhead cranes.

Typical qualifications

• Experience with CNC machinery, especially plasma or torch tables.
• The ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of basic math and measurement devices.
• Mechanical aptitude to perform setup and basic troubleshooting of equipment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
