Seasonal Desktop Support Technician

We're looking for a seasonal IT support technician to help our team during our busy holiday season. This position is on-site at our Brooklyn Army Terminal location in Brooklyn, NY. This is a hands-on position with a mix of warehouse equipment support and basic help desk/desktop troubleshooting. Previous professional IT experience is not required, but candidates should have a basic understanding of computers and be comfortable troubleshooting common computer issues. Training will be provided for our specific equipment and systems. Primary Responsibilities Replace, set up, and troubleshoot warehouse shipping scales Troubleshoot Zebra thermal label printers used throughout our warehouse and shipping operations (training provided) Troubleshoot HP business-class printers, including common printing, connectivity, paper, toner, and hardware issues (training provided) Provide basic Windows computer troubleshooting, including hardware, software, login, peripheral, and connectivity issues Perform basic network troubleshooting, including wired and Wi‑Fi connectivity issues Set up, deploy, replace, and move desktop computers, monitors, printers, and other IT equipment Respond to employee IT support requests and help resolve common technical issues Escalate more complex problems to senior IT staff when needed Assist with IT equipment inventory, organization, and other hands‑on IT projects as needed Physical Requirements Able to regularly lift and move equipment weighing approximately 30 to 50 lbs Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments Able to move, install, and replace computer, printer, and shipping equipment as needed What We're Looking For Basic understanding of computer troubleshooting is required Comfortable working with Windows computers and common computer hardware Able to work through basic technical problems and identify when an issue needs to be escalated Comfortable learning how to troubleshoot printers, shipping scales, and other warehouse technology Dependable and comfortable working independently when needed Good communication and customer service skills Previous help desk, desktop support, or IT experience is a plus, but not required Schedule 40 hours per week September through Thanksgiving: Standard Monday through Friday weekday schedule Beginning Black Friday through mid‑January: Holiday support schedule Primary shift will most likely be 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM One weekend shift per week during the holiday period Schedule will be adjusted as needed to maintain approximately 40 hours per week Some schedule flexibility may be required during our busiest holiday weeks Why You'll Love It Here Competitive hourly wage $25 an hour A fun, casual work atmosphere where creativity is celebrated.
