Marous Brothers Construction (MBC) is seeking a self-motivated Safety Coordinator for our $100M+ Student Housing project in the heart of The Ohio State University. Your days will be hands‑on in the field right on The Ohio State University's famous High Street!Your Day-to-Day:You lead the jobsite each day by walking projects, spotting hazards quickly, and keeping crews aligned with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and company safety expectations. You update and execute SSSPs, JHAs, and risk assessments while staying close to field operations, coaching teams through high‑risk work like fall protection, trenching, crane activity, confined spaces, and hot work. You energize the team through orientations and toolbox talks, build a strong safety mindset, and step in with authority when unsafe conditions appear. When incidents or near misses happen, you drive root‑cause analysis and track corrective actions to prevent repeat events. You partner with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to keep everyone moving in the same direction.
