Paralegal

Adams & Martin Group is hiring for a Paralegal on a direct hire, permanent basis. The law firm is located downtown St. Louis.

Title: Paralegal or Junior Paralegal

Location: In-office (St. Louis, MO) initially; hybrid eligible after 6 months based on performance

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Hybrid Work Policy

• Eligible for work-from-home after 6 months
• Typically starts with 1 day remote at 6-month mark for strong performers
• May increase to 2 days remote at 1-year mark with continued strong performance
• Requires evaluation and approval from manager

Key Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents: affidavits, memoranda, claims, client correspondence
• Prepare and submit asbestos claim materials for insolvent companies
• Investigate claims and maintain client files
• Analyze and summarize data (primarily in Excel)
• Communicate professionally with clients for case updates
• Collaborate with attorneys and paralegal managers

Required Skills & Experience

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Self-starter with initiative and problem-solving mindset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Team-oriented and service-minded

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Legal experience preferred; asbestos plaintiff practice strongly desired
• Paralegal degree or certificate
• Demonstrated longevity in prior positions
• Strong writing skills

Software Knowledge

• TrialPro experience is a plus

Compensation

• Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 (Depending on Experience)
