Paralegal

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Job description: About Us: Wood & Long, LLC is a dedicated family law firm committed to providing compassionate, high-quality legal services to our clients. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our team and help ensure our clients receive the best support possible. Position Overview: The Paralegal / Legal Assistant will provide essential support to attorneys, assisting with case management, document preparation, and client communications. This role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Primary Responsibilities Manage case files and maintain organized records Draft legal documents and manage discovery processes Request and organize records from third parties E-file and file documents with the court Attend court hearings and/or depositions as needed Monitor email and fax communications Draft and send correspondence Reconcile client and case contact information Assist other staff with overflow tasks Perform other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Demonstrates integrity and maintains confidentiality in all office operations and client interactions Self-motivated, able to work independently, and take initiative Team-oriented with the ability to take on tasks beyond core responsibilities to support continuous operations What We Offer Supportive, professional work environment Opportunities for professional growth Chance to be part of a team committed to excellence in family law Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm Benefits Free parking Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
