About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP/Fund Controller for Alternative Investments to join its finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, audits, investor reporting, and operational controls across multiple investment funds. This role involves close collaboration with investment, legal, tax, and investor relations teams, as well as the development and mentorship of accounting staff. Key responsibilities include managing capital activity, leading annual audits, ensuring compliance with fund agreements, and driving process improvements and system enhancements. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA strongly preferred, and at least 8 years' of progressive accounting experience. A background in private equity, real estate, alternative investments, asset management, or public accounting is essential, along with a strong understanding of partnership accounting and investment fund structures. The role requires experience in managing audits and financial reporting processes, demonstrated leadership, and excellent analytical and communication skills. The VP/Fund Controller will also be expected to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives.
