Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning from children to older adults utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Design and implement customized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver dedicated speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, fluency, language, voice modulation, and swallowing issues.
- Work synergistically with a team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise harmonious care strategies.
- Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families, fostering progress outside the clinic.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment sessions to ensure a seamless continuum of care for patients.
- Maintain thorough and timely patient documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if awaiting ASHA certification.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.

- Expertise in evidence-based practices applicable to various age groups, comprehensive understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills facilitating communication with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary care team.
