We’re working with a global contract research and manufacturing organisation that is the only one of its kind dedicated exclusively to animal health. With operations across the US, UK, Europe, and New Zealand, this business supports clients from molecule to market, enabling the development and delivery of life-enhancing products for pets and livestock. As they continue to expand their US commercial team, we’re recruiting for a Business Development Manager to lead new business growth and deepen partnerships across their contract development and manufacturing services. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies in collaboration with global teams. Build and manage relationships with a range of animal health clients, from biotech start-ups to global pharmaceutical brands. Act as a key commercial interface, identifying client needs and aligning them with tailored service solutions across R&D, regulatory, and manufacturing. Lead proposals, contract negotiations, and project onboarding processes to secure new business and renew existing partnerships. Work closely with scientific, regulatory, and operational teams across global sites to ensure seamless service delivery and high client satisfaction. Represent the full value proposition of the organisation’s integrated CDMO model, identifying new areas for collaboration and innovation. Candidate Profile Minimum of 10 years’ experience in animal health sales or business development – this is essential. Strong understanding of the global animal health landscape, including pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and regulatory frameworks. Established network within the veterinary or animal health sector. Proven ability to lead complex sales cycles and negotiate at senior stakeholder level. Strategic, collaborative and commercially astute with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable operating in a matrixed global environment with cross-functional teams.
