The Assistant Vice President of Replevin is responsible for developing, implementing, leading, and overseeing a replevin litigation program and strategy for the firm. This role directs the firm’s replevin-related litigation, manages and mentors the trial attorneys, and acts as a liaison with clients regarding reporting, billing, and counseling. The incumbent will handle a dedicated caseload of contested replevin cases requiring experience with counterclaims, arbitrations, mediations, motion practice, and trials, and will oversee the drafting and development of replevin-related litigation forms, filings, and processes in compliance with state laws. Compensation is a base salary of $145,000–$160,000 plus applicable bonus. Responsibilities Develop processes, vendor relationships, and litigation strategy to provide effective and compliant representation to the firm’s portfolio of national lenders in replevin matters. Build and manage the Replevin Group to handle replevin litigation for various clients across the firm’s national footprint. Provide leadership and direction to the Replevin Group and mentorship to the firm’s attorneys regarding replevin matters. Execute firm-wide replevin strategies at the direction of the Vice President of Litigation Operations and keep upper management and clients abreast of legal trends and challenges. Facilitate communication between the firm’s trial attorneys, the Replevin Group, and the firm’s clients. Act as lead counsel in the prosecution of select replevin matters, including motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, trials, and appeals as needed. Develop, review, approve, and monitor overall strategic, tactical, and operational planning for the Replevin Group with a focus on efficient and compliant litigation processes. Oversee all replevin intake, litigation, and processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements and client expectations. Develop and manage guidelines, plans, procedures, and processes for the Replevin Group to ensure effective and efficient delivery of legal services. Requirements A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed. Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university. Active license to practice law in one or more jurisdictions. Minimum of 5 years of progressive litigation experience including litigating all aspects of replevin actions, preferably with leadership of a litigation team. Ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing in a common language. Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device. Ability to complete a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek schedule. Ability to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence.
