Job Description As an Electrician / Journeyman Electrician here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will diagnose, adjust, repair, construct, modify, assemble, calibrate, install, and maintain electrical and electronic high or low voltage circuitry systems and equipment. Job Overview Our South Bend Honeywell Facility comprises of Wheel & Brake machining, Carbon brake manufacturing and Fuel control systems. Reporting You will report directly to our Maintenance Supervisor and you’ll work out of our South Bend, IN location on an on‑site work schedule. Responsibilities Working on CNC machines, various heat treat furnaces, and also jet fuel installations for test purposes. Installing conduit from machines to power sources, sizing wire to meet current and voltage requirements, installing new wiring for plant, office, and equipment expansions, and retrofitting the electrical components of plant machines and equipment if a production process addition or modification has been made. Tools used in the performance of job tasks include, but are not limited to, standard electrician hand tools including DVM, and various test gear and a laptop computer. Willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends and overtime as needed. Basic Qualifications This position requires an Electrician Journeyman card or 4 years of equivalent Electrician experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Due to export control restrictions, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident. Additional Qualifications Willing to join a union Honeywell AALS is represented by UAW, Local #9. Candidates will satisfactorily complete pre‑employment requirements such as a background check, drug screen, and meet the physical requirements of this position. Qualified candidates must have experience in electrical work including knowledge of programmable machine controls. Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Applicants must also be able to read blueprints and have solid troubleshooting and repair skills.
