Medical Device Repair Technician II

Medtronic seeks a Medical Device Repair Technician II in Plainfield, Indiana to troubleshoot, repair, and test returned electromechanical medical devices. The role involves hands-on diagnostics, component-level repair, and quality documentation in a regulated service environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical medical devices using established procedures and documentation
• Diagnose failures at board level and perform corrective actions to restore operational condition
• Operate electrical and diagnostic test equipment to verify product performance
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble products while preventing damage to sensitive components
• Conduct functional, safety, and output testing and document results in service and quality systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years electromechanical troubleshooting, repair, or technical service experience
• Ability to read, write, and communicate technical information in English accurately
• Experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, hi-pot testers, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals
• Experience handling circuit boards and electronic assemblies with proper ESD practices

Compensation: $25/hr starting, 5% annual bonus target, 4 weeks paid time off, 10 paid holidays, 401(k) with up to 6% match
