Channel Islands Veterinary Hospital – Medical Director Location: Port Hueneme, CA Overview: The Medical Director will manage a personal caseload while partnering with a Hospital Manager to lead the team and run the site. The position offers generous bonuses, a 4‑day work week, and an opportunity for joint venture ownership. Key Responsibilities Manage own medical caseload and provide high‑quality veterinary care. Partner with the Hospital Manager to lead staff, schedule, and operations. Encourage, mentor, and coach staff to foster a collaborative and supportive workplace. Maintain a high staff‑to‑doctor ratio to ensure patient and client satisfaction. Support staff development and provide constructive feedback. Promote a culture of continued education and professional growth. Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary: $150,000 – $200,000 based on experience. $50,000+ sign‑on bonus with retention potential.
