Staff Accountant Job Description Experience: Senior Level Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year Job Details Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for detail? We are seeking a dynamic Permanent Staff Accountant to join our thriving Accounting + Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a critical part in our company's financial operations, with a focus on job costing, construction accounting, property accounting, project accounting, year-end close, GL, cash flow, financial statements, invoicing, Yardi, loan draws, and construction draws. Responsibilities Managing and executing job costing, construction accounting, property accounting, and project accounting procedures. Overseeing the year-end close process and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Maintaining the general ledger (GL) and conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity. Preparing and analyzing cash flow statements, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Processing invoices, loan draws, and construction draws in a timely and accurate manner. Utilizing Yardi software for property management and accounting tasks. Collaborating with other members of the finance team to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and achieve overall department goals. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and staying updated on current industry trends and best practices. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry. Proven experience with job costing, construction accounting, property accounting, project accounting, year-end close, GL, cash flow, financial statements, invoicing, Yardi, loan draws, and construction draws. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is a plus. Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and experience with Yardi or similar accounting software. Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
