Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Carmel, Indiana. This role involves providing direct patient care on a 16-bed Medical Surgical (MS) and Orthopedic (Ortho) unit that operate as a single combined team. The position requires monitoring patient conditions, implementing care plans, coordinating discharge processes, and serving as a primary team coordinator to ensure seamless patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current RN licensure in Indiana, 0 years of experience required, completion of relevant nursing education, and ability to work in Carmel, Indiana.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) is a plus.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Work in a 16-bed Medical Surgical and Orthopedic unit utilizing royal blue scrubs.
• Max RN/patient ratio 5 patients to 1 RN.
• One PCT scheduled on both units depending on patient census.
• Use Sunrise Clinical Manager; previous experience with SCM is a plus.
