Strategic Accounting Manager: Payroll, Compliance & Analytics

Pinnacle Environmental Management Support is an independent firm with 30 years of experience that provide support to our clients in the energy sector around the disciplines of administrative, data, finance, compliance, property research and claims management. This position is an in-office position located in Greensboro, NC.This position is responsible for planning, executing, and directing the accounting activities of the department.Manage and Oversee Accounting Operations:Supervise the accounting department’s daily workflow, ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.Payroll and Timecard Management:Analyze, prepare, and process bi-weekly payroll and review employee timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance with all wage and hour laws.Ensure Compliance and Lead Audits:Develop and enforce internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with state, federal, and financial reporting standards.Oversee Tax Preparation and Financial Analysis:Direct tax planning and preparation throughout the fiscal year, partner with CPA for annual corporate tax returns, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.Qualifications/Skills:Expert QuickBooks knowledge, with 3 years of experience, and with skill in integration with outside HRIS/Payroll Software.Must have knowledge of a variety of financial, accounting, and tax preparation computer software applications and ability to learn proprietary in-house systems and client relationship management systems MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access with emphasis on strong Excel skills).Knowledge of HRIS, HCM, payroll software, Paycom preferred.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or other related degree required.Five years or more accounting management experience is required.Experience with review of client contracts, competitive market analysis for services provided by vendors, and vendor negotiationsExperience AP/AR management.Experience working in Professional services organization and billable labor hours and job costing.We provide a competitive compensation package and a wide range of benefits; including Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Health Insurance, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401K, and Company Paid Life Insurance.This is a Full-Time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday 8-4:30$70,000-$80,000 Commensurate based on experiencePinnacle Environmental Management Support is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr Pinnacle Environmental Management Support Inc
