Providing essential support to individuals seeking health and human services, the full-time Call Specialist will manage calls, texts, and emails at the 211 Maine Contact Center, ensuring empathetic care and accurate documentation while working in South Portland, ME with potential remote options. Key responsibilities: Receive and respond to inquiries via calls, texts, and emails, guiding individuals to appropriate community services Document interactions thoroughly and accurately to meet program standards and ensure quality service delivery Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the 24-hour nature of the program Required qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred Ability to obtain certification as an Information and Referral Specialist (CIRS) within 3 years Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with various software programs Previous experience in a call center or information and referral services preferred Must pass a criminal background check and not be on state or federal disbarment lists Virtual Vocations Inc
