Sales Operations Specialist

Airmar Technology Corporation is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Operations Specialist to support and grow customer relationships. This role serves as a primary point of contact for technical and commercial inquiries, manages day-to-day account needs, and coordinates with Production Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and other internal teams to deliver timely solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong customer service and sales capabilities with technical aptitude, organization, analytical thinking, and an interest in ultrasonic technology.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the central point of contact for customers’ technical and non-technical support needs. Manage day-to-day requests for assigned accounts through email, phone, virtual meetings, and in-person meetings. Develop new and existing customer accounts while delivering excellent service, minimizing losses, and supporting profitable growth. Act as a customer advocate and recommend process improvements that strengthen retention and the overall customer experience. Process customer orders, prepare price quotations, and obtain customer forecasts. Provide sales support to outside sales representatives, OEM customers, and wholly owned distributors. Communicate pricing, policy, product, and order-status updates to customers. Identify and develop new business opportunities through website inquiries, trade shows, and established customer contacts. Monitor and analyze customer product usage through monthly sales reporting. Collaborate with Production Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and other stakeholders to meet customer requirements on schedule. Participate in SIOP meetings and reviews to support cross-functional planning and alignment. Track industry trends and competitor activity through professional publications, webinars, and educational opportunities, and recommend actions that support growth. Travel to customer locations and trade shows as needed, including opportunities to support customers worldwide.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree, technical associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of two years of customer service, account management, inside sales, or related experience. Experience supporting customer accounts in a technical, manufacturing, or business-to-business environment is preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and customer relationship management platforms is preferred. Background in acoustics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering is a plus.
