Job Description As a Elite Security Officer Full Time Patrol Communications in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting an educational location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 04:30 PMTue07:00 AM - 04:30 PMWed07:00 AM - 04:30 PMThur07:00 AM - 04:30 PMFri07:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency responders. Maintain required documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. Possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
