Desired Qualifications:

• ASHA Certification and valid ABSESPA licensure required
• Must hold a Professional Educator Certification specific to Alabama
• All necessary credentialing for SLPA practice in Alabama, including fingerprint clearance
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy and interventions to students
• Assist in creating and implementing student-specific communication strategies and activities
• Document progress and report on student outcomes as required
• Participate in team meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and progress discussions
• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and families
