Technology Associate

Location: 2345 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, OH, 44118, United States. Base Pay: $18.20 per hour. Job Category: Customer Service. Employee Type: Non-Exempt PT. Required Degree: High school. Manage Others: No. Heights Libraries has an opening for a part-time Technology Associate in our Heights Knowledge and Innovation Center (HKIC) located at our Lee Road branch. The HKIC is home to a Multi-Media Lab, a STEAM/Maker Lab, and computers running both Windows and Mac OS. In this position, you will be assisting customers in person and over the phone with computer/technology-related questions; and assisting customers with scanners and other related office equipment. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills with the ability to interact effectively with all customer age groups. Must be patient and adaptable to working with customers of varying degrees of computer and office equipment skill and knowledge. Ability to provide customer support with technology and software applications. Must be comfortable working in an environment where you will be moving from task to task. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, bend, and push. Technology Associates will be expected to work a schedule of 20 hours per week including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Applicants must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening as part of the pre-employment process. Knowledge Requirements Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint Windows and Mac operating systems Experience with multi-media equipment and software (preferred) Summary Enrollment in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
