What You'll Do

• Prepare and dispense medication orders per physician requests in accordance with hospital policies and protocols
• Accurately interpret, transcribe, and verify drug orders into the electronic medication record
• Compound and dispense sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
• Manage controlled substances and maintain proper records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
• Provide timely pharmaceutical services, including medication reconciliation and patient education
• Supervise pharmacy support staff and verify technician activities
• Participate in clinical activities such as anticoagulation management, pharmacokinetics, and drug therapy review
• Support hospital initiatives like antibiotic and opioid stewardship programs
• Contribute to quality improvement and medication safety activities

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana Pharmacist Licensure
• BLS certification (required), ACLS preferred
• Hospital pharmacy experience a plus, especially in ICU settings
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and extended hours if needed
