About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid State Compact License required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Previous charge experience: 2 years - Experience in charting systems, specifically Epic - Must have travel experience Description: The position requires floating between units based on facility needs. Weekend shifts are required based on facility requirements. On-call duty is not required for this position. Patient-to-nurse ratio is expected to be 1:6. Candidates must have experience in managing various nursing tasks related to medical-surgical care. The role includes care for patients with cerebrovascular accidents and those requiring isolation precautions. Candidates should be proficient in oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management. Experience with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries is beneficial. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in rapid response and code team protocols. References from two professional contacts covering a minimum of one year of experience within the last three years are required. Travelers may need to float to nearby facilities as required.
