Human Resources (HR) Generalist

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support core HR operations and payroll activities for a Contract position based in Pasadena, California. This hybrid opportunity is well suited for someone who is detail oriented and can balance employee support, compliance, and administrative accuracy while managing payroll with confidence. The role requires regular onsite presence and offers the chance to contribute across the employee lifecycle, maintain organized HR records, and help ensure timely, compliant payroll processing.Responsibilities:• Manage end-to-end multi-state payroll processing using ADP, ensuring pay data is complete, accurate, and submitted on schedule.• Review employee hours, incentive pay, commissions, deductions, and related payroll inputs to maintain precision in each payroll cycle.• Work closely with Finance to reconcile payroll figures, address discrepancies, and provide documentation for audits or reporting needs.• Answer employee questions related to payroll, timekeeping, and benefit deductions with professionalism and timely follow-up.• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including documentation, system updates, and employee record maintenance.• Administer HR policies, procedures, and day-to-day programs in alignment with applicable employment laws and company standards.• Support benefits administration by processing enrollments, status changes, and employee communications throughout the year.• Maintain HRIS data accuracy, prepare routine and ad hoc reports, and keep personnel files organized and compliant.• Provide support on employee relations matters and assist managers with performance management and other HR initiatives.• Monitor compliance with wage and hour rules, labor regulations, and internal documentation requirements across HR processes.
