Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify functional impairments and establishing personalized treatment plans that align with therapeutic goals.
• Administering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including exercise prescriptions, manual therapy techniques, gait training, and modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Documenting treatment sessions, patient responses, and progress, utilizing electronic health records to ensure continuity of care and accuracy of patient information.
• Regularly reassessing patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Providing education and training to patients and their families regarding therapy techniques and the use of assistive devices, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of at-home care practices.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote coordinated care for patients.
• Staying current with best practices in physical therapy through professional development activities, publications, and workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on treating individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida.

Compensation and Benefits
