ABOUT LITTLE SAINT Located in the heart of historic downtown Healdsburg, Little Saint is a vibrant meeting place where guests are invited to connect over food, music, art and conversation. SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are hiring a skilled   Culinary Shift Supervisor   to join our growing Little Saint team! Under the supervision of the Culinary Operations Manager, Restaurant Chef, and Sous Chefs, the Culinary Shift Supervisor focuses on the supervision of line cooks, daily culinary preparation and cooking for service. The Culinary Shift Supervisor oversees and ensures quality standards for all assigned areas. The position will often be in contact with guests and the Culinary Shift Supervisor is expected to provide sincere hospitality and create a warm environment for guests.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee opening procedures ensuring stations are prepped, organized, and service-ready.
  • Monitor checklists for accuracy and completeness, proactively addressing gaps before service begins.
  • Coordinate the transition from daytime to evening service, ensuring continuity of mise en place, cleanliness, and workflow.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between the kitchen leadership team and the line, relaying priorities and service updates.
  • Support team members by assisting with station needs, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a steady pace of service.
  • Uphold and reinforce kitchen standards for quality, timing, and presentation.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of progressive culinary experience
  • Vegan, plant-based experience and kitchen leadership experience a plus
  • California Food Safety certification and knowledge of public health regulations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak fluently in English.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to self-manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a timely manner.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Flexibility to work based on business needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis
  • Manual dexterity, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
