Join our friendly ophthalmology clinic in Rochester, MI. Full time position (approximately 34-36 hours) available as a front desk / receptionist . We are looking for a highly competent, friendly person who is a team player with great customer service skills. The Medical Receptionist plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk by managing patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and customer interactions. Working primarily with a small team of 1-3 colleagues in a self-managed capacity, this role requires proficiency in medical software to maintain accurate electronic health records and facilitate efficient patient check-in and check-out processes.

 

Responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
• Oversee front desk operations and patient check-in/out
• Provide excellent customer service and phone management
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic health records
• Entering patient demographic data
• Collecting patient co-pays and patient balance payments

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in medical administration
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with medical terminology and patient scheduling
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and appointment management
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in data entry and use of specialized medical software
