Production Machine Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tetra Machine Operator to join a Hendersonville, NC beverage production team. The ideal candidate will run and monitor downstream Tetra packaging equipment to produce scheduled products to specification while maintaining quality and safety standards. Location: Hendersonville, NC Shift: Night Shift – 6pm to 6am | $23.00/hr., increase to $24.00/hr. Once permanently hired Work Hours: 12-hour shift, (2-2-3 schedule) contract-to-hire Core Responsibilities Machine Operation: Operate the case/tray packer, shrink wrapper, labeler, and palletizer on Tetra lines; verify glue type, flow levels, temperature, film, printer settings, recipes, and cleaning schedules; PMO Level II also operates the bundler and straw applicator and performs palletizer/forklift operation. Quality & Compliance: Conduct quality control checks in accordance with requirements; follow GMP protocol on and off the Tetra lines; ensure compliance with company policies for cost control, waste reduction, and product and food safety. Troubleshooting & Uptime: Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machines and controls; respond quickly to alarms; troubleshoot machinery when quality deficiencies or malfunctions occur; follow start-up and shut-down checklists for all equipment. Documentation & Housekeeping: Record production data such as cycles, frequency, downtime, and faults using the computer system; inspect finished product; perform general housekeeping and sanitize the floor at least once per shift. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: 3 years of manufacturing experience as a machine operator; food/beverage industry experience preferred. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; A.A. Degree in Mechatronics or related field of study preferred. Skills: Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability; intermediate proficiency with MS Office, including Excel; forklift certification required for PMO Level II. Additional Qualifications & Competencies Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated food manufacturing environment. Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-prioritize and maintain attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, and/or crouch for extended periods, and work in wet/humid conditions with temperature fluctuations.
