Sous Chef | High-Volume, Chef-Driven Restaurant

Our client is a well-established Chicago hospitality group seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on chef who thrives in a high-volume environment and is passionate about quality, consistency, and developing people.

What You’ll Do

Partner with the Executive Chef to lead daily kitchen operations
Manage and motivate the culinary team during service
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety
Assist with menu execution, prep, ordering, inventory, and cost control
Train and develop cooks while maintaining a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
Lead by example and remain hands-on throughout service
Help ensure smooth, efficient execution in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

Previous Sous Chef or strong Chef de Cuisine experience in a high-volume restaurant
Proven ability to lead and develop a culinary team
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and cost controls
Organized, dependable, and comfortable making decisions under pressure
A hands-on leader who is willing to work alongside the team
Passion for hospitality and consistently delivering a great guest experience
