Senior Consultant, Credits and IncentivesThe Senior Consultant, Credits and Incentives supports clients in identifying and securing valuable tax credits, incentives, and economic development opportunities. This role combines research, financial and regulatory analysis, project execution, and client-facing consulting across multiple industries. You will work on both established and complex incentive projects, including engagements involving data centers, utilities, and power-related initiatives. The position offers significant exposure to state, local, federal, and utility incentive programs and evolving regulatory environments. You will collaborate closely with managers, senior leaders, clients, and economic development officials to deliver high-quality project outcomes. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to client presentations, solve technical challenges, and support the development of junior professionals. Success requires strong analytical judgment, organization, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.AccountabilitiesCredits and incentives consulting: Participate in the delivery of credits and incentives projects, supporting clients in identifying, evaluating, and pursuing applicable opportunities.Research and analysis: Research state, local, federal, and utility incentive programs and assess their applicability to current and prospective client projects.Project execution: Manage assigned project activities, timelines, tasks, and deliverables to support accurate and timely client outcomes.Documentation: Prepare applications, supporting documentation, analyses, and other materials required to pursue incentive opportunities.Client and stakeholder coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and assist with communications and interactions involving clients and economic development officials.Opportunity evaluation: Support the assessment of incentive opportunities for existing and prospective clients, helping translate research into actionable recommendations.Reporting: Assist with the preparation and maintenance of work-in-process (WIP) reports and other project tracking materials.Client support: Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed, contributing relevant analysis and project updates.Technical research: Maintain knowledge of applicable credits and incentives programs, regulations, market developments, and emerging trends.Problem solving: Research and help resolve technical, regulatory, or project-related issues that arise during engagements.Team development: Provide informal guidance and support to junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.Additional responsibilities: Perform other duties and project activities as assigned.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional experience: At least 3 years of experience in credits and incentives, property tax consulting, or a related discipline.Technical proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.Analytical skills: Demonstrated ability to research complex information, analyze opportunities, identify relevant findings, and apply sound problem-solving judgment.Organization: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.Consulting mindset: Ability to work collaboratively, contribute to client engagements, and translate research into practical project deliverables.Adaptability: Comfortable working across different industries and project types, including complex engagements involving data centers and power-related initiatives.Independence: Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities while collaborating closely with managers and senior team members.Mobility: Valid driver's license required.Work schedule: Regular full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week.Travel: Less than 10% travel expected.BenefitsEmployee ownership: Eligibility for an employee stock ownership program beginning on day one, with an ESOP contribution targeted at 6% of annual compensation.Paid parental leave: Company-paid parental leave.Time off: Generous paid time-off package.Healthcare and benefits: Multiple benefit plan options with eligibility beginning on the first day of employment.Work-life balance: Culture focused on employee wellbeing and sustainable work-life balance.Work arrangement: Remote position within the United States.Career environment: Opportunities to work on complex client engagements, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop expertise in credits and incentives.Recognition: Employee-focused culture with an emphasis on teamwork, communication, client service, and professional contribution.
