Attorney Recruiting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Legal Recruiting Manager to oversee attorney recruiting initiatives and help attract, hire, and retain exceptional legal talent. This hybrid position is based in Downtown Los Angeles and offers the opportunity to play a key role in both lateral attorney and law school recruiting. The ideal candidate brings law firm recruiting experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with attorneys, firm leadership, candidates, and external recruiting partners. Key Responsibilities Manage the full recruiting lifecycle for attorneys, including lateral associates and summer associates . Partner with attorney recruiting leadership, Practice Area Leaders, and Office Managing Partners to identify and address hiring needs. Support attorney searches for California offices, including candidate sourcing and research, interview coordination, due diligence, and recruiting materials. Review applications and resumes, assess candidate qualifications, coordinate interviews, and oversee the offer and onboarding process. Develop and maintain relationships with external legal recruiters and search firms. Lead law school recruiting efforts, including OCI programs, law school events, callback interviews, recruiting committee meetings, and summer associate hiring . Manage and mentor recruiting team members, including specialists, coordinators, and assistants. Maintain recruiting databases, candidate records, resume circulation, offer and rejection communications, and related reporting. Prepare recruiting metrics, hiring reports, and status updates for firm leadership. Develop and manage the annual legal recruiting budget. Serve as a recruiting resource and trusted partner to Office Managing Partners and other firm leaders. Participate in firmwide recruiting initiatives, cross-office projects, and special programs. Identify opportunities to streamline recruiting processes and improve both operational efficiency and the candidate experience. Stay informed on legal industry hiring trends and market developments. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of management-level recruiting experience within a law firm . Previous supervisory or team management experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of the legal recruiting market and current law firm hiring trends. Demonstrated leadership, management, and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to develop effective relationships with attorneys, senior leadership, candidates, recruiters, and staff at all levels. Strong judgment and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive recruiting matters. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple searches and projects simultaneously. Candidate-focused approach with an emphasis on maintaining consistent communication throughout the recruiting process. Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proactive, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented approach to recruiting. The salary range for this position is $90,000–$130,000 per year , with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
