Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking to hire a 1:1 CNA for the 2026-2027 school year!

Shift Schedule: 7:45 AM - 3:05 PM

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable 1:1 School CNA to support a student's daily health and personal care needs in the school setting. This role is essential in promoting the student's safety, comfort, and ability to fully participate in the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the student with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, feeding, and mobility support

• Monitor and report changes in the student's physical and emotional condition

• Support implementation of individualized care plans as directed by the school nurse or healthcare team

• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for the student

• Assist with positioning, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment as needed

• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and healthcare professionals to support student success

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and procedures

• Provide encouragement and support to promote independence and well-being

Qualifications:

• Current CNA certification in the state of North Carolina

• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

• Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred

• Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices

• Ability to follow care plans and work under supervision of licensed staff

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age
