Assistant Nurse Manager - Ambulatory Surgery - Mount Sinai West - Full Time - Evenings (12pm-10pm)

About This Role The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse who acts as a clinical leader in the daily functioning of the unit and oversees quality patient care delivery, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Manager. Highlights Pay: $135,063.30 - $153,840.32 Annually Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai West Department/Unit: Nursing 5B Amb Surg - WST Schedule: Full-Time, Evening shift What You'll Do Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care. Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role model expected behaviors. Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care. Validate staff members round hourly on all patients by direct observation and patient feedback. Conduct daily rounding of all patients (Monday-Friday). Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate. Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns. Design and support a safe, therapeutic patient-centered care environment. Lead interdisciplinary quality improvement teams using high reliability principles. Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in ambulatory surgery preop and Phase II (recovery) required; PACU experience will be considered. Charge nurse and/or supervisory experience preferred.
