The Director of Recruitment leads all recruiting and talent acquisition efforts for the office, developing and executing strategies to attract, evaluate, and select high-quality financial representative candidates. This individual serves as a key business partner, building strong community relationships, expanding referral networks, and promoting the Northwestern Mutual career opportunity. Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, relationship-building, and a results-driven approach.Primary Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Sourcing

Develop and execute recruiting strategies to achieve hiring goals.

Build and maintain referral sources, community partnerships, and professional networks.

Generate candidate pipelines through networking, social media, online sourcing platforms, and recruitment marketing initiatives.

Represent and promote the Northwestern Mutual brand within the community and professional organizations.

Recruitment & Selection

Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing and screening through offer acceptance and onboarding.

Conduct candidate interviews, assessments, and selection discussions with leadership.

Ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience and maintain regular communication throughout the process.

Partner with leadership to identify and attract top talent aligned with business objectives.

Leadership & Strategy

Lead and continuously improve recruiting processes and best practices.

Provide guidance to business leaders on talent acquisition strategies and market trends.

Supervise recruiting team members and oversee recruitment programs, events, and budgets.

Drive innovation and adoption of effective sourcing and hiring strategies.

Analytics & Performance

Monitor recruiting metrics and pipeline performance.

Analyze hiring data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Maintain accurate candidate records and provide regular reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

5+ years of progressive experience in recruiting, sales, talent acquisition, or a related field.

Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and attract high-caliber talent.

Experience using recruiting and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Handshake.

Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills.

Financial services industry experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time position

Starting salary: $85,000 annual base salary, plus performance-based bonus opportunity
